NextGen is Live: Watch Our Launch Webinar Recording

Record your screenshot automation once — run it forever.

We hosted our NextGen Screenshot Recipe Builder launch webinar yesterday, and it was a blast showing this off live. If you joined us — a big thank you from all of the team at LaunchBrightly! And if you missed it, we've got you covered. The full recording is waiting for you below, or catch it on YouTube.

Keeping your product screenshots accurate and fully up-to-date is one of those things that sounds simple — until you’re the one tasked with doing it. It’s a manual loop of logging in, navigating to the right page of your application, priming it with a set of actions to get it just right, then capturing, annotating and uploading the image — and then doing it all over again when your product changes. Across all of the screenshots in your help center. It’s a massive time burden.

And that's where NextGen can come in!

What we covered

During the webinar our CEO and Founder, Dennis Mortensen, walked through how the NextGen Screenshot Recipe Builder works from start to finish. Here’s a quick summary of what we showed:

Recording workflows, naturally.

NextGen runs as a fully functional browser-in-browser inside LaunchBrightly. We opened a live analytics application, logged in using a secure Login Profile, and just navigated the product — exactly how any user would. No plugins, no extensions, no engineering involvement needed.

From interactions to automation.

NextGen is much more than a simple screen recording — it turns actions into real automation that can be run again and again to generate fresh, accurate screenshots whenever your product changes. We recorded a half dozen or so product workflows throughout the webinar to demonstrate how each action taken in those recordings is captured and assembled into reusable automation recipes. Each automation recipe was recorded live, and fresh screenshots were generated in real-time. It’s that easy!

Built-in annotations, applied automatically.

While recording those product workflows we also added annotations using the Screenshot Recipe Builder, and showed how those enhancements become part of the recipe itself. Every time you reprocess your automation recipes, fresh screenshots are auto-generated and those annotations are automatically applied.

Scheduled audits and help center sync.

As part of our Q&A we also touched on how LaunchBrightly’s screenshot audits can be used to tie your automation together and stay in full control of screenshot updates. Our recurring screenshots audits will automatically generate new screenshots for all of your automation recipes, run a visual comparison against what’s live in your help center and flag changes for review. When you approve and update, those fresh, fully up-to-date screenshots are synced directly back to your help center. A built-in screenshot governance process.
